ABTAs first two-day seminar "Travel Law Into 2000 And Beyond"

The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) has announced that its successful seminar series will now include a two-day event on Travel Law (Wednesday, February 9th and Thursday, February 10th). Participants will be given the opportunity to attend for the full two-day agenda or for one day only.

The seminar will take a comprehensive look at unfair contract terms, the new Data Protection Act, crisis management, the legal side of customer care and handling complaints and the legal issues surrounding the Internet. Crisis management, selling insurance and key safety issues are also included on the programme.

Chaired by ABTAs Head of Legal Services, Riccardo Nardi, the guest speakers will include Paul Bedding, a lawyer from the Office of Fair Trading; Andy Cooper, Head of Legal Affairs at Airtours Holidays; Tim Robinson, partner at Nicholson Graham Jones; a representative from the Office of the Data Protection Registrar and several other experts.

"We are delighted at the calibre of speakers we have been able to attract," said Riccardo Nardi. "This is a wide-ranging seminar and we will be looking at a number of new legal developments that will have a significant effect on Members."
